Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker continues to rack up establishment endorsements in his bid for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination.
Baker has scheduled a fundraiser for next Tuesday in Baltimore, headlined by state Senate President Mike Miller (D) and House Majority Whip Talmadge Branch (D). Branch has previously endorsed Baker; Miller has not done so publicly.
The evening fundraiser takes place at the Hanover Cross Street apartment building in Federal Hill. Ticket prices start at $500. Event hosts, who can attend a special event earlier in the evening, are asked to raise $25,000 each.
Baker has already been endorsed by U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D) and Attorney General Brian Frosh (D) in addition to numerous Prince George’s politicians.
